MBI 08-06 - Event Position Restrictions

When Event Position Restrictions are in effect, controllers are required to be certified for any position they wish to work. This is in effect for all ARTCC sponsored events (President's Day, FNO, etc.), Major VA events (Saturday Scramble, etc.), and any events we are officially supporting for our neighbors, VATUSA, or VATSIM in general (Nor'Easter, Cross the Pond, SuperBowl, etc.). The ATM or DATM may invoke Event Position Restrictions for any other events when necessary.

ARTCC Spotlight Night, weekly VA fly-ins, and neighboring ARTCC events where ZDC airports are not featured, normally do not require controllers to be certified at the position.

If any events in addition to those posted above require Event Position Restrictions, the restrictions will be posted in the event announcement.
